The Evergreen Shiba Club was founded in 1986 before the AKC recognized the Shiba Inu in 1992.  The goal of the Club in the early days was to get together and compete with their shibas at rare breed shows. When the Shiba was recognized by AKC, the Evergreen Shiba Club Hosted the first Annual National Specialty.
